Housing for Our Poultry and Livestock

Providing safe, comfortable, and high-quality housing is a priority at our facilities. We believe this is essential for promoting the health and well-being of our animals. Our housing standards are designed to meet or exceed leading industry guidelines and legislative requirements, such as the National Chicken Council (NCC) guidelines in the U.S. and Red Tractor standards in Europe. The majority of our animals are raised in enclosed barns, and we also offer specialized housing systems, such as those with outdoor access for our organic lines, to meet specific program requirements.

Monitoring Animal Health

Our family poultry farm partners conduct twice-daily inspections of both the housing facilities and the chickens. These inspections focus on critical aspects such as ventilation, air quality, feed quality, eye health, and mobility of the birds.

Our team of skilled technicians make regular visits to each farm, not only to monitor adherence to the health plan but also to share best practices for raising healthier chickens. We believe in continuous learning and improvement, which is why we provide training on animal husbandry and welfare. This includes hosting quarterly meetings with our farm partners to discuss updates and advancements in the field.

We extend this level of animal welfare to our U.K. hog supply chain as well. Regular farm visits and ongoing training are integral parts of our strategy to maintain high standards of care and well-being for our animals.
